چکیده

The sorption affinity of iodide on organo-bentonite, modified with hexadecyl pyridinium (HDPy), was investigated the iodine–starch method coupled UV/Vis absorption spectroscopy. complex optimized in terms reaction time and sample compositions, based absorbance. batch experiment for organo-bentonites, using two different loading amounts HDPy, conducted to analyze influence equilibrium time, liquid-to-solid ratio, temperature, affinity. experimental results regarding removal capacity were further employed derive distribution coefficients organo-bentonites. novelty this work lies first application spectroscopy analyzing behavior bentonites. It is expected that iodide-starch can be complementarily future research, respect quantification iodide.
